With 20,000 spectators in the Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena, the FISU Games 2025 kicked off with a show that united sport, culture, and technology. Backed by live music, choreographed effects, and emotional dramaturgy, we set new standards in event production.

With hundreds of precisely choreographed firing positions, we designed a visual spectacle in the night sky. The color-intense aerial fireworks were the emotional opener for the World University Games – synchronized to music and visible far beyond the stadium.

Show Design with Regional Identity

The opening show merged symbols of the Ruhr region’s heritage with cutting-edge live show technology. Music, pyro effects, and choreography came together to tell a story: from industrial legacy to an international celebration of sport.

Even before sunset, colored smoke effects and daytime pyrotechnics added vibrant accents. Smoke columns, fog effects, and spark elements enriched the show dramaturgically – colorful, energetic, and precisely timed.
